One Little Step.......

WE GOT THE EXTENSION!!!!!

We're so much closer to demolition day. Yea!!!! So our architect finally submitted our plans to the right people (it's been so many dept., I've now lost track of which is which...).

Our architect called us last week, and told us one more disturbing news, the city has LOST OUR ORIGINAL plans. Can we give them another copy? The only copy we have with the Planning Department comments?

Deep breath, I have to keep my perspective here. I feel like we are being kidnapped and ransomed. How can this be? They are bureaucrats. They are suppose to be able to keep track of our papers. Isn't this the definition of a BUREAUCRAT?

As I looked at our spending, we paid our taxes on time, we paid our fees on time, we paid our parking tickets on time because we are expected to. These are all suppose to pay for the city employees salaries. When we go to work, we are expected to perform and meet our goals so that we can be employed to pay taxes. WHY oh WHY can't we get the same expectations from THE CITY (San Francisco).

To end on a good note, we are in the process of designing the kitchen. We are moving forward.
